For the eighth year, area florists are partnering with Lee Memorial Health System’s Cardiac Services to educate women on heart disease. Our florist partners and Lee Memorial Health System’s gift shops will be including an extra gift in their Mother’s Day deliveries – a “Dial, Don’t Drive” card regarding the importance of calling 911 when experiencing heart attack symptoms and a red dress pin.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women. Because of the florists’ willingness to participate, approximately 2,200 area women will receive this important information.
