INTERNATIONAL FEST 2010 September 21, 2010

The Rotary Club of Bonita Springs Noon hosts International Fest 2010 on Thursday, October 7^th from five until eight p.m. at The Mercato on US 41 in North Naples.  The event features beer and wine tastings at all ten Mercato restaurants along with complimentary hors d’oeuvres.  Tickets are $25.00 in advance and may be purchased by calling Nelson Marine at 239-992-6645 or thirty dollars the night of the event while supplies last.  Cash, Visa and Mastercard accepted.

Proceeds from the evening’s event will benefit The Bonita Springs Assistance Office, Kids Against Hunger, Grace Place, Bonita Nature Place and The Rotary Club of Bonita Springs Noon Foundation.

HOPE FOR HAITI May 3, 2010

HOPE FOR HAITI PACKING OVER 200,000 MEALS TO SEND TO HAITI ON SATURDAY, MAY 8^TH AT NAPLES HIGH SCHOOL

Hope for Haiti’s Food Packing Event in partnership with Kids Against Hunger of Southwest Florida will take place at Naples High School on Saturday, May 8th. Hope for Haiti’s goal is to pack and send over 200,000 meals to Haiti with the help of over 800 volunteers. There will be two sessions 9-11am and 11-1pm for volunteers to pack as many meals as time and energy allows. All meals will be shipped and safely distributed by Hope for Haiti staff on the ground in Haiti.

Hope for Haiti is still looking for volunteers to sign up to participate in the packing event this Saturday. If you are interested please call Hope for Haiti at 239-434-7183 to sign up today. If you cannot attend the event, but would like to participate, a donation to help defray shipping costs would be greatly appreciated.

YMCA of the Palms Locations to be Distribution Sites for Kids Against December 16, 2009

 Starting Saturday, December 19, the
YMCA of the Palms will join the distribution network for pre-packaged
Kids Against Hunger meals.  The meals are free of charge and are
available to anyone in need in the community. 

Meals will be available at the Member Service Desk at both the Greater
Naples and Bonita Springs YMCAs during the following hours: Monday -
Friday, 6 am to 7 pm, Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, 1 to 5 pm.
Please note the following exceptions for upcoming holidays: Christmas
Eve – open until 4 pm; Christmas Day – closed; New Year’s Eve – open
until 4 pm; New Year’s Day – open 8 am to 4 pm.  The Greater Naples YMCA
is located at 5450 YMCA Rd, Naples, FL 34109.  The Bonita Springs YMCA
is located at 27200 Kent Rd, Bonita Springs, FL 34135.

Kids Against Hunger meals are currently distributed each week to more
than 50 public schools in Collier County.  With area schools closing for
winter recess, the YMCA of the Palms is opening its doors to make sure
children and families still have access so that no child goes hungry
over the holiday break.

Kids Against Hunger of Southwest Florida is the community and
international project of The Rotary Club of Naples, with the goal to
package and distribute fortified rice casseroles to those in need.  In
the past two and half years, Kids Against Hunger of Southwest Florida
has packaged and distributed more than 6 million meals.

The YMCA of the Palms is a non-profit organization dedicated to building
